Fellow Classmates,

Here is the final OpO for our 50th Reunion. Unfortunately, the Club and Foundation have not included on their websites any information on the main Reunion Weekend events. My new telephone number is (613) 344-2354.

Payment.  For the Friday Class party, the Sunday Farewell and the Class photo, our redoubtable Class Treasurer, Jacques Duval, asks that you please pay by cheque, made payable to “Jacques Duval, RMC 63.”

Nametags. Please use the same magnetic name badges as issued for our Old Brigade entry weekend in 2009. If you need a replacement, e-mail me with what you want on your badges, before September 24th.  Cost will be about $8.00.

 Weekend Schedule

 1.       Thursday, September 26th

Legacy Dinner. 1800 for 1900 hrs. Gather in the New Gym next to the Cadet Mess. Dress is, in order of preference, black tie and formal dresses, tenue de ville or RMC blazer.  If you still need to register, e-mail or call Jennifer Jordan at the Foundation , 1.888.386.3762 or (613) 541-6000 ext 6807. Ask to sit at a Class of ’63 table. Our Class’s past donations and the Wall of Honour will be recognized.

2.       Friday, September 27th

a.       Recruit Obstacle Course. Starts at 1300 hrs. After the event, Ex-Cadets will present College coins to the Recruits. Dress in warm, mud-resistant clothing.

b.      Class  of ’63 Party. At the Fort Frontenac Officers’ Mess (last building on the South side of High way 2/Ontario Street just West of the causeway to the College), 1800 for 1900 hrs, preferred dress suit or jacket and tie, smart casual acceptable (no jeans or T-shirts). Cost about $46.00 per person, inclusive of taxes and gratuities. Pay at the door for this event and for our Sunday Farewel l.

3.       Saturday, September 28th

a.       Foundation AGM, starting at 0800 hrs in Currie Hall.

b.      First Year Badging Parade – formerly the Ex-Cadet Parade. Coffee and finger food at the Senior Staff Mess before the parade. Be seated well before 1000 hrs if you wish to be in the Old Brigade seating area. Medals should be worn.

c.       Lunch in the Cadet Mess Tickets from Mary Darlington (the Club) 613-541-6000 (Those hosting WOH honorees dine in the SSM)

d.      Wall of Honour Induction Ceremony, starting at 1330 hrs. Len Staples will take our Class picture by the Wall, after this ceremony. A reception follows for attendees and Ted Davie will provide location after the class photo. 

e.      Old Brigade Dinner, 1800 for 1900 hrs at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, 285 King Street East. Dress Mess Kit and ladies’ equivalent, lounge suit or blazer. Order tickets ($75 per person) from Mary Darlington at the Club 1-888-386-3762 or 613-541-6000 (ex 6850) .

4.       Sunday September 29th

a.       March to the Arch. Coffee and soup before parade. Fall in about 10:00 hrs.

b.       Class Farewell. This will start immediately after the March to the Arch. BYOB please. Contrary to an earlier entry on our Class website, lunch is at chez Winfields, 15 Church Street, Gananoque, K7G 2M9. The Club will refund your Sunday lunch tickets at the SSM. This has always been a great way to end the weekend on an informal note. 125 classmates and spice attended in 2009.

Accommodation. If you have not yet arranged accommodation, the date for guaranteed rooms has passed. Nonetheless, you should be able to get a room by contacting
